①　Those who have completed 12 years of formal education before application.  This includes university preparatory courses.

②　Regarding Japanese language ability, those who meet any of the following criteria may apply (excluding those who took classes conducted exclusively in Japanese ):

1. Those who studied Japanese education in Japanese language schools approved by the Ministry of Justice.
2. Those who passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test levels N1 or N2 conducted by the Japan Educational Exchange and Services or The Japan Foundation
3. Those who obtained a total of 200 points or more in the sections of Japanese reading comprehension and listening comprehension in the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) conducted by Japan Student Services and Organization
4. Those who obtained 400 points or more in the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test conducted by The Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation.
5. Those who are enrolled for one year or more in schools stipulated in the Article 1 of the School Education Law (excluding preschools and kindergartens)
